Treasury Department Sent Information on Hunter Biden to Expanding GOP Senate Inquiry.

This is just political tit for tat; that, and carrying out Trump’s political orders.

Trump is a traitor who betrayed this nation. The Republican members of the United States Senate aided and abetted him in this and directly engaged in furthering his cover-up with their sham trial without witnesses. Simultaneously, they have engaged in a political investigation of the family member of one of the president’s potential political opponents.

I don’t know whether or not Hunter Biden did anything wrong. But anyone who honestly doubts that this Senate investigation is anything other than Trump, using his puppet senators to engage in an investigation of a political opponent’s family member for political purposes and personal vengeance is missing a few dots on their dominoes.

This sort of thing is the beginning. Trump has control of the Justice Department with his puppet Attorney General. AG Barr works for Trump, not the American people.

The president also has control of the United States Senate through its Republican members. With the single exception of Senator Romney, the Republican senators are his puppets. They do not represent their constituents, and they do not care enough about America to remove a traitor from office.

We are entering a dark day in America. Is anyone who opposes Trump going to face investigation and attack by Trump’s Justice Department and Trump’s puppet elected officials? The “reason” for this investigation is that Trump tried to use American aid to bully a foreign government to interfere in our election and failed. He was impeached for doing and should have been removed from office for this massive betrayal of the public trust.

Instead, his Republican Senate derailed the impeachment process with a phony trial. They blocked allowing witnesses and the presentation of evidence, and by doing that, made themselves part of the cover-up.

Not only that, they immediately undertook to begin the investigation of the president’s potential opponent’s family member that the Ukraine had refused to do. In other words, this investigation of Hunter Biden is just the Republican Senate, doing what Trump tried to get a use American aid to get a foreign power to do in order to further Trump’s campaign for re-election.

Most of the Republican Party has become the Trump party. One half of our political apparatus is under his control.

The Republican Senate voted yesterday to make the President of the United States above the law. They voted against America and for Trump. They made themselves his subjects.

Now they are working to persecute his political opponents and punish those who dare to oppose him with the full force of the authority of the Senate.

This is not America. It has ample legal precedent in totalitarian states all around the globe and throughout history. But it is not the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

The Treasury Department has complied with Republican senators’ requests for highly sensitive and closely held financial records about Hunter Biden and his associates and has turned over “‘evidence’ of questionable origin” to them, according to a leading Democrat on one of the committees conducting the investigation.

For months, while the impeachment controversy raged, powerful committee chairmen in the Republican-controlled Senate have been quietly but openly pursuing an inquiry into Hunter Biden’s business affairs and Ukrainian officials’ alleged interventions in the 2016 election, the same matters that President Trump and his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani unsuccessfully tried to coerce Ukraine’s government to investigate.

Unlike Trump and Giuliani, however, Sens. Charles Grassley, chairman of the Finance Committee; Ron Johnson, chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee; and Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, have focused their efforts in Washington, seeking to extract politically useful information from agencies of the U.S. government. They’ve issued letters requesting records from Cabinet departments and agencies, including the State Department, the Treasury, the Justice Department, the FBI, the National Archives and the Secret Service.

Grassley and Johnson have sought to obtain some of the most sensitive and closely held documents in all of federal law enforcement — highly confidential suspicious activity reports (SARs) filed by financial institutions with FinCEN, an agency of the Treasury that helps to police money laundering.
