Is it possible to put the entire globe in quarantine? What happens when we try?

That is a very real question that we are answering right now, in real time. There is no treatment, and, as of now, no vaccine for the Coronavirus. 

The only way to stop its spread is to break the intersections of human to human contact that spreads it. These are called “disease vectors,” which does sound a lot more spiffy than human to human contact. So, call it a “disease vector”if you want, but it still means the same thing: Stay home. 

While our president dithered and lied, more responsible people, including the mainstream media, persisted in telling the facts about the virus and its spread. Responsible people in government who hadn’t been purged from their jobs worked to stop its spread. The prez jumped on the bandwagon — after a couple of awkward leaps and misses that led to falling in the dirt — only after the public forced him into it. Even Fox commentators have begun telling the truth about it. 

Something is happening that has never happened before in all of human history. This is the first time humanity has faced this kind of threat when it had the level of communication and knowledge that it does today. We may not be able to treat the virus, but we can track it and understand it, and talk to one another about it, all at once, all over the globe. 

We are all responding with incredible intelligence and courage to this threat. I am so proud of the goodness of the people in our media and our government who stepped right over the lying lizards of the Trump propaganda machine and kept telling the truth. They have saved millions of lives. Your life and mine might be among them. 

There are still people out there who are so influenced by propaganda outlets such as Patriot Channels and Epoch Times that they refuse to believe the reality of the situation. But most of the American people are smarter than that. We’re staying home. We’re going to beat this thing. 

There are big problems ahead that we must find ways to overcome. 

First, stay-at-home is not sustainable for the long term. 

Second, there are regions of the world — Africa, parts of South America and India come to mind — where getting the word out and keeping people home is not workable. Africa in particular is a giant Petri dish. 

That’s why we need a vaccine. We need a hard stop to this virus before the walls of commerce come tumbling down. 

I think it’s possible that we can skate through this thing with minimal damage and a good hard lesson in things we need to do going forward to protect ourselves in the future. It may not work out that way. 

We can still get clipped by a failure of credit, or we might not be able to sustain the stay at home thing until we get a vaccine. We cannot sustain what we are doing now for 18 months. They’ve got to get that vaccine out faster than that.  If they can’t, we need to develop different tactics. 

But we’re fully aroused. Well informed. Fighting hard. 

It’s the devil you don’t see or won’t acknowledge who takes you down; not the one you fight with all you’ve got. 

We all owe an enormous debt of gratitude to those sturdy folks in the mainstream media who told us the truth when we needed to hear it. We also owe an enormous debt to the government officials who did their jobs.

Both of them kept on keeping on in the face of ridicule and lies from our President and his media stooges.

We may very well owe these brave and honest people our lives.

I thank God for good people who do their jobs with integrity and tenacity. We need them now more than we ever have before.
