I am on the mailing list of what seems like everyone in both parties who is running for office in these United States.
Among others, I get almost daily emails from Donald Trump. These range from fund-raising attempts based on the horrors of the Democrats, to fund-raising letters based on giving me a chance to have dinner with him, to fund raising letters from his kids/wife/whatever wanting me to “surprise” him with a donation for his birthday.
I don’t often read any of these things, not from Trump, not from anybody. I get too many of them. Usually, I batch delete them.
But for some reason, I clicked on the one from Trump today. I haven’t had such a good laugh in a long time. I start laughing again every time I think about it.
It wasn’t written in crayon, but it might as well have been. It read like something written by an irate third grader. I could almost hear my four-year-old granddaughter, complaining about one of the kids at her pre-school.
Here — I kid you not — is how it begins:
Kamala Harris is the meanest, most horrible, most disrespectful, MOST LIBERAL of anyone in the U.S. Senate, and I cannot believe that Joe Biden wold pick her as his running mate.
Trump’s losing his touch. He used to be able to outrage me when he flung out one of his wild insults. Now, I can’t stop laughing.
