Kanye West Says New Album Is a “Gospel Album”

Kanye West tweeted that his new album is a “Gospel album.”

It is unclear what “Gospel” means exactly to this rapper who sang of Jesus:

 I know he’s the most high, but I am a close high.

But this is also a man who sang:

God, show me the way because the devil trying to break me down. … The only thing that I pray is that my feet don’t fail me now. … And I don’t think there is nothing I can do now to right my wrongs. … I want to talk to God, but I’m afraid because we ain’t spoke in so long

Kanye has used Gospel choirs in his music before. But, it remains to be seen whether he is speaking about the Gospel message or just the sound.

Who knows.

In the meantime, I’m keeping the man in prayer and we’ll see what this “Gospel album” is like.
