When I wrote “Post-Traumatic Church Syndrome: One Woman’s Desperate, Funny, Healing Journey To Explore 30 Religions By Her 30th Birthday“, I never expected the #1 question to be: “So, what religion did you pick?”… because I was never trying to find a religion.
(I’d already been there, done that, burned the t-shirt).
I was trying to find myself–and Something much Bigger than myself.
Something Big Enough to believe in.
I did find myself, and I did find Something Big Enough to Believe In–but along the way I found a lot of other things:
I found transformation, healing, courage, laughter, kindness, laughter and HOPE.
I found hope Resurrection that isn’t a story in a book, but living and everpresent…
A Force that builds bricks from the ashes of our losses
A Force that makes beauty out of our brokenness A Force that births new life from all our deaths.
Take heart, my loves–my fellow Couragers:
The power of personal Resurrection beats within you–closer than your next heartbeat.
