(no… not mine…do you really think I wouldn’t tell you?)
A friend of mine sent me an ultrasound picture today of her new little one. It was one of the grainy black and white kind, not the cool 4D ones. I was on the phone telling her congratulations when I heard a squeal from the couch. My 19 month old had found my iPad and seen this ultrasound photo:
I hung up the phone and turned on the camera. Here’s #7:
She’s barely more than a baby herself, but she knows what she’s looking at. If she can look at a not-so-great scan and see the baby that is clearly there…why can’t everyone?
Even my 19 month old knows that what’s in that picture is not a clump of cells. It’s most certainly a baby. I don’t know how we ever got the place that there was any doubt.
