Pray For Rebecca

When I was in the 4th grade, my best friend was a girl named Kim.  She had a younger sister, Joy, who always tried to play with us, and we wouldn’t let her.  We were 10, sue us.  But if we had known what kind of an amazing woman she would grow up to be, we might have been a little nicer.

I posted a button at the top of my blog (did you see it?) asking for prayers for her sweet Rebecca.  She has been diagnosed with mitochondrial disease at the age of 2 1/2.  She is fighting valiantly just to live a normal life of tea parties and tiaras and swirly pink ball gowns.  It is a long slog uphill for someone so small. 

This Lent, I am offering up an additional penance for this darling girl and her amazing parents, and I ask you all to join me.  Click on the button, read their story, say some prayers.  Please add her link to your own blog (if you have one) and join me in asking God for a miracle, time, and peace for them.  Thank you.
