Caffeine

Caffeine May 27, 2015

I’m long overdue to record another song parody. And so here’s “Caffeine” to the tune of Eric Clapton’s “Cocaine”

If you want to get up, you’ve gotta grab your mug, caffeine
If you want to get down, pour water on coffee grounds, caffeine

Feel alive, feel alive, feel alive,
Caffeine

If you got that work, and appointments to keep, caffeine
When your day is done, but there’s no time to sleep, caffeine

Feel alive, feel alive, feel alive,
Caffeine

If you wanna be free, you’ll make a pot of tea, caffeine
If you must make do, you’ll grab a Mountain Dew, caffeine

Feel alive, feel alive, feel alive,

Caffeine

Feel alive, feel alive, feel alive,
Caffeine

Speaking of song parody, comedy, scifi, NY artist parody, I am going to watch “Nothing Lasts Forever” on TMC Saturday night (actual recording it, since it’s too late for me). Haven’t seen it, but it sounds like deep theology to me. With the cast, it’s got to be good.

Brilliant….As I sit here humming the tune in my head and sipping my Java out of my Walking Dead mug.

  • Great! I love parodies and caffeine.

Since you mentioned my all time favorite drink of choice–Mountain Dew,

I’ll pass along my own MD parody of Stephen Foster’s “Camptown Races.”

    Drinktown Cases

    By Stephen Frosted, M.D.;-)

O the Mountain men sing this song,

    Dew-da, Dew-da

The Drinktown caseback’s 5 miles long

    Oh Dew-da day

    Goin’ to drink all right

    Goin’ drink all day

I bet my money on a Live-Wired Dew

    Somebody bet on hooray

I went down tired with my hat caved in,

    Dew-da, Dew-da

I came back Wired with a jacket-stuffed win

    Oh Dew-da day

    Goin’ drink all right

    Goin’ drink all day

I bet my money on a Live-Wired Dew

    Somebody bet on hooray

    What a Baja Blast;-)
Now if I could only sing…
