The Trajectory of the Kingdom: A Case For Inclusion (Video) 2016-07-06T17:19:10-04:00

Over the past few months, I’ve been hard at work  developing the content for my new book, tentatively titled Forward: The Kingdom of God and the Case for Inclusion. This book will be a theology/spirituality book that seeks to present a comprehensive case that the trajectory of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God is towards the full inclusion of sexual and gender minorities, the deconstruction of patriarchy, and the liberation of all people both spiritually and literally. I’ve taken this message to the United Kingdom, Ireland, and around the United States, and today, I am excited to share with you one of the first iterations of my talk, given at the iAmProject Launch Event at Highlands Church in Denver. In this talk, you’ll hear me present a case for LGBT+ inclusion based not on the popular clobber passages, but rather on the Gospel of Christ and the words of Jesus. I was given just 20 mins to make my case, so I had to do a lot of condensing, and if you watch to the very end, theres a bit of shocker (watch and you’ll see what I mean). But this talk is the very basic foundation to my argument for the full inclusion of sexual and gender minorities in the life of the church and I hope it stimulates your mind and causes you to think about the implications of the Gospel for how we live out our faith today!
