I Told You So…

On Sunday, October 13, presidential candidate Donald Trump told an interviewer on Fox News that he would possibly favor using the US Military, including the National Guard (who he would have control over as president), against the “enemy within,” “sick people, radical left lunatics.” Anyone who has been paying any attention knows who he means.

I have warned people here many times that IF Trump wins the presidency again we may enter into an era of severe autocracy in which Trump’s political opponents may be persecuted and even prosecuted for nothing more than being his critics and political opponents.

If this doesn’t cause many, most, all of Trump’s supporters to back away from him, nothing would—except his suddenly flipping to the “left.” That isn’t going to happen.

I know the response by many of Trump’s supporters will be like some already, that “he doesn’t mean it” or “he’s referring to criminals” or “he’s talking about immigrant gangs.” It’s clear he means it. Why support him if he doesn’t mean what he says? And it’s clear he isn’t talking about immigrants.

Former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley has publicly declared Trump one of the most dangerous men in the world and a fascist. Milley served under Trump. He is not alone with that sentiment. Milley has even said that he is afraid for himself if Trump is elected.

Trump is now, with those words, more than a bully; he is a threat to democracy.

I am NOT here endorsing Harris or anyone else. I am only issuing a prophetic warning about Trump. I am severely disappointed that the whole of American journalism and news media are not jumping on these frightening words of Trump’s. He has now “jumped the shark,” so to speak, into a new level, not of silliness but of scariness.
