New Book Discussion: N. T. Wright, Creation…

Here I announce a new book discussion. The book is by noted evangelical biblical scholar and theologian N. T. Wright (whom I will refer to as “Tom” because we are on a first-name basis): Creation, Power, and Truth: The Gospel in a World of Cultural Confusion (Zondervan, 2025). The book comprises lectures Tom gave at Harvard University some years ago. It is relatively brief and written in a style non-scholars can easily understand. I invite you to buy the book (it is available in Kindle format from Amazon) and read it along with me. I will post comments about the Introduction and Chapter 1 beginning on or about Monday, September 9.

Without doubt or fear of debate, Tom has emerged as a leading voice among evangelical Christians worldwide. It is my privilege to know him personally and to consider him a friend. I will not say that I agree with everything he has written or said, but I respect all of his opinions. He is both a scholar and a gentlemen’s and he is a deeply devoted Christian.

Get the book as soon as possible and dive into the Introduction and Chapter 1. Wait to comment until I begin the discussion. After that, only comment if you have read the chapter under discussion. Otherwise, feel free to ask a question.
