2. I ain’t afraid of no bears
A Canadian man is lucky to be alive thanks to his border collie Pacer who bravely fought off an attacking bear while they were out running on a wilderness trail. The startled mama bear came straight for the man in an effort to protect her cubs. Pacer was able to distract the bear momentarily by barking and biting at the bear. But the bear attacked a second time, until Pacer distracted the bear to chase him down the trail and allow his two-legged friend to find safety.
Though he had to get 16 stitches in his hand, the man was happy to be reunited with his dog, who wasn’t hurt at all:
“Pacer is fine and truly my hero. I never run without him.”
