We all know that we work far better when our inner balance—that deeper, more spiritual part of us—is in a “good place.” Things just go a lot better, especially our connections to other people.

But knowing it and living it are totally different. Especially in today’s fast-paced workplace where we can easily get knocked off our Platform of Calm. So anything we can do to stay on the Platform (or climb back on it!) is really valuable.

What kind of moments keep you comfortably on your Platform of Calm?

Here’s a tip:

As you go about your work week, spot one moment that brings you real unadulterated joy.

Often this is doing something simple like talking with a colleague, writing out your thoughts and plans, or meeting with a customer. Record the experience of that moment in your mind. Focus on it. Expand it. Express your gratitude for it to someone.

These moments are gateways to a far greater future for you and many others.
