Beating the Bush

Beating the Bush November 6, 2003

I'm not sure why someone thought I'd be receptive to the following invitation, but it arrived today in my mailbox.

Anybody else get this?

A message from blogsforbush@yahoo.com:

As a noted conservative blogger, we'd like to invite you to the virtual Blogs for Bush community, a low-traffic, invitation only e-mail list for bloggers who support reelecting President George W. Bush — plus a group blog you're welcome to join coming soon at http://www.blogsforbush.com/.

Our mission at Blogs for Bush is to turn discussion into action. Blogs are an absolutely irresistible medium for building community and driving debate — two of the essential ingredients for victory next November. This list is a virtual newswire of the most important reporting and election tidbits — information that will help you fight back against the media's one-sided reporting and keep your blog updated constantly.

This list is also a community of over 80 well-read right-of-center bloggers. If you're looking to grow your blog, Blogs for Bush provides you with the tools to promote your blog and get plugged into to the heart of the conservative blogosphere. Post any important pro-Bush stories or blogs of yours and use our chats to trade links with fellow bloggers.

Most important, this group will highlight what we can all do to use our blogs to take part, be it in traditional ways like volunteering or donating or in creative new ways like Meetups, posting cool stuff to your blog that helps your readers get involved, or through online rapid response to the Left. Imagine hundreds of smart people doing all this and you have Blogs for Bush!

We have designed this list to be timely but not to deluge you with e-mail. You can expect a handful of messages and action items daily. This means you shouldn't hesitate about selecting "Individual E-mails" as your membership type.

Drop us a line at blogsforbush@yahoo.com if you'd like to get more involved. We need volunteers!
