I first encountered Kangaroo at the Folger in Washington, where I had SRO tickets for the delightful 2003 production of Twelfth Night. The cast sang Kangaroo’s “Thing For You” during the curtain call. Brilliant. (That production also featured the best use of C+C Music Factory’s “Gonna Make You Sweat” in Shakespeare ever.)

Oh, and shut up — “Freedom” is a great song.
