The WordPress platform I’m using here allows me to “tag” posts with keywords, thereby creating category indices for each tag.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t using WordPress for the first eight years of this blog and so those older posts aren’t tagged. Plus it’s taken me a while to get the hang of how best to use such tags, so even most of the newer posts aren’t tagged (or aren’t tagged in the most helpful way).
So in the months ahead, I’m hoping to plow through my archives, tagging the posts there to make them easier to find.
But to do that I need to figure out what tags would be most helpful, and what to call them.
That’s where I need your help, input, suggestions, corrections, etc.
I just got a good example in my inbox (slacktivist at hotmail dot com) of the sort of thing I’ll need to figure out to get the archives helpfully tagged. Bobby H. writes asking about an older post about the Bible and homosexuality. That topic could use its own tag. An erratic, semi-random selection of recent posts here on marriage equality have the tag “equality,” but I’ll probably want to settle on a name for the tag that’s not quite as ambiguously broad.
Please feel free to recommend any new tags you’d find helpful, as well as new or better names for those or for any of the existing tags used here. Thanks.
Oh, and for Bobby, I’m hoping that one of these older posts is the one you’re looking for:
