Chores falling from the sky

On the plus side, real icicles make the “icicle” Christmas lights on our house look even prettier:

On the negative side, it’s ugly arithmetic when the total snow accumulation in inches (7) is higher than the temperature Farenheit outside (6).

So as it turns out, the window between work last night and work tonight was spent shoveling, sleeping and then shoveling. Hence no Left Behind Friday post, but the driveway is clear(ish).

I remember when I was in college and I’d see someone the age I am now shoveling snow and think, “Oh no, his aged, decrepit body shouldn’t be doing that. He’s gonna die.” I probably thought the same thing a few times today, but I figure I can keep this up until little Timmy down the street is old enough for me to hire him to do the shoveling. (He’s 6 now, so maybe not.)

Anyway, if you’re anywhere here on the East Coast of the U.S., stay inside and stay warm.
