Big, huge, heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed so generously to my fundraising appeal here last week. Anyone interested in supporting this site — and, hopefully, improving it — might also want to check out my new Patreon page.
That page is still a bit of a rough draft, but I wanted to get it live.
(Gonna have to tweak that image to make the text they’re overlaying look less ugly.)
If you’re not familiar with Patreon, it connects “creators” (writers, musicians, artists, etc.) with supporters who can set up small monthly donations. Creators can, in turn, set goals and offer thank-you awards to their patrons at various levels of support.
That “awards” bit is the section I have yet to finish at my page. I have some ideas, but before mentioning or offering those, I’d love to hear what sorts of ideas readers here might have. (Totebags and golf umbrellas with the Slacktivist logo don’t really seem like the best fit, but if it turns out there’s a demand for that sort of thing, I have some friends in public television I could talk to …)
If you’ve got ideas about additional “goals” I might set for this site (or other platforms), I’d love to hear about those as well.
