But a few years earlier, in 1789, Leland attempted something even more audacious -- he prompted the Baptists of Virginia to consider Jubilee, immediate emancipation, and a declaration that slavery was "contrary to the word of God." This puts the Antichrist on a very tight schedule. He has a strict list of prophecies that are going to need fulfilling and that timeline is non-negotiable. Within three and a half years of the Rapture, the Antichrist is going to need to be persecuting a global church and he's going to need to be desecrating a Temple in Jerusalem. Southern Baptist spokesman Russell Moore's response to the killing of Eric Garner is a remarkable change from the odious statements his predecessor, Richard Land, made in response to the killing of Trayvon Martin. Land was worried about not being perceived as racist. Moore, on the other hand, sounds like a man who has decided he doesn't want to be a racist. It will be interesting to see if he's allowed to continue talking like this. Read more
