The times, they are changing… and that means that gays are re-evaluating their formerly iron-clad position in the Democratic party. (I’ve been saying this needs to happen with black Americans for years!)
Here are five surprising “Gays for Trump” moments.
1. Did you know that the second night of the Republican National Convention, there was a “Gays for Trump” rally?
Yes! Newly banned from Twitter, Milo Yiannopoulos spoke at a “Gays For Trump Party” in Cleveland at the Republican National Convention… and it was well-received! Reason magazine reports:
You might not have expected the crowd at a rally outside the Republican National Convention to cheer an out-and-proud gay man who bragged about his good looks and sex life. But in the age of Donald Trump, anything is possible: even a conservative Christian audience going gaga over Milo Yiannopoulos.
“The left does not own homosexuals anymore,” Yiannopoulos, an editor for Breitbart and provocative campus speaker, told the crowd. “We’re your gays.”
“You’re our gays!” someone in the crowd echoed. Others cheered.
