To all “Trump Grumps” out there: President Obama has some advice for you

To all “Trump Grumps” out there: President Obama has some advice for you November 22, 2016

Okay, we get it. A lot of people are upset that Donald Trump was elected president. We’ve heard you shouting and chanting for weeks on end. We’ve read your angry Twitter and Facebook posts. We’ve seen some of you turn physically violent and witnessed others, particularly college students, crumble into a sobbing mess. Celebrities that we’ve made famous actually believe Trump supporters are Nazis and the president-elect the new Hitler. It’s mass hysteria everywhere we look.

These “Trump Grumps,” as political analyst George Korda terms them, have predicted the end of the world as we know it and are mobilizing every fiber in their being to oppose the newly elected leader of the free world. But they’re forgetting something; something their favored president, Barack Obama — a man many of these people called the savior of America — said a few years ago. Instead of screaming like children who’ve had a lollipop taken away, do something productive. He’s often said, “Don’t boo, vote,” but here’s some more advice from President Obama for the grumpies out there that can’t seem to come to grips with Trump’s victory:

“You don’t like a particular policy or a particular president? Then argue for your position. Go out there and win an election. Push to change it. But don’t break it. Don’t break what our predecessors spent over two centuries building. That’s not being faithful to what this country’s about.”

Great advice, right? Well, here’s some more, straight from the horse’s mouth before the 2010 mid-terms:

“We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

So, check it out, Democrats: Republicans now have the majority across the board. You are welcome to ride along with us, but just like President Obama said when it was your turn, you gotta sit in back.
