Actors and actresses are always telling funny stories that happened to them while on the set of a movie, but when Jennifer Lawrence recently told one of hers on a talk show, she was attacked as “white and evil.”

Lawrence told this story once before, shortly after she filmed 2013’s Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Basically, she was on location in Hawaii filming near some rocks and wearing an itchy wetsuit. Between takes, Lawrence said she found herself using the rocks to scratch the tough-to-reach spots. What she didn’t know at the time was that these rocks were considered sacred to the locals.

She laughingly retold this story on Britain’s The Graham Norton Show while promoting her latest film Passengers alongside her co-star Chris Pratt:

“One rock that I was butt scratching on ended up going loose. It was a giant boulder, and it rolled down this mountain and almost killed our sound guy… All the Hawaiian’s were like, ‘Oh my God, it’s the curse!’ And I’m in the corner like going, ‘I’m your curse. I wedged it loose with my ass.'”

And that’s all it took for her fellow liberals to turn on her and devour her on Twitter. People demanded an apology and when they got it, it wasn’t good enough:
