Gigi Hadid Did This With A Cookie And Now She’s Racist?

The word racism gets thrown around so much these days it means nothing anymore. And that’s a real shame for people who have lived through the painful experiences of real racism.

So, here we have another celebrity who did something with her friends that was posted online and made sensitive social justice warriors believe she is hiding secret hate in her heart.

Model Gig Hadid (a.k.a Taylor Swift’s best buddy) held up a Buddha cookie she got for her birthday and mimicked the face. See, she’s racist!

The video was deleted from Twitter after the backlash started but somebody captured it and reposted. In it, you hear “Happy Birthday” being sung as Hadid smiles at her treat. The camera zooms in, she holds the cookie next to her face, and strikes the same closed-eye pose. And that’s it.

But as you can see below, SJWs read a lot into things:

Hadid’s mother, who once starred on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, defended her daughter on Twitter and reminded everyone that it takes a special kind of person to be upset over something like this:
