Colin Kaepernick will stand for National Anthem now that it might cost him some money

Colin Kaepernick, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback who made a the National Anthem into a political statement, has changed his tune.  Two days later, after he became a free agent, he changed his tune. At least according to rumors, delivered to ESPN:

Kaepernick no longer wants his method of protest to detract from the positive change he believes has been created, sources told ESPN.

Really?  He didn’t even have the guts to hold a press conference?  That’s because his reasoning doesn’t make sense. Are we supposed to believe that he’s the ONLY liberals who’s chilling out now that Trump’s actually sitting in the Oval Office?

Please.  I can’t decide if I’m glad he’s stopping — because it was dumb for him to complain about how America oppresses black people — or if I’m glad he finally realizing that he needs to stop with the stupidity.  Sports radio host Colin Cowherd had some thoughts on it.  Though he didn’t care that Kaepernick started bending the knee, he was really annoyed with the way it ended.

“What happened to your strong belief? It’s funny how it leaked…  you didn’t even have to announce it. The only stories that leak are stories that people want to leak… Kaepernick knows that GMs don’t want you bringing politics to work. It didn’t take courage when he had a contract. Now it takes courage… to go out and kneel. Courage is when you’re out on the street, you need to get paid, and you still take a stand.”
