The 2016 Presidential election is undoubtably one of the most controversial of modern America. While many citizens are willing to sacrifice for what they believe to be right, many others back away in fear from the opportunity to influence great change.
Berated for his decision to support Trump, Aaron Carter gave up on the election as a whole. The Blaze shares the details of his statements:
Responding to a fan on Twitter who tweeted that they still “love him” despite his prior announcement to support the controversial businessman, Carter said that he’s been bullied “so badly” that he no longer wants to cast a vote for Trump — or any candidate.
I honestly don’t think I will at this point. I’ve been bullied so badly because of it I don’t even want to vote now https://t.co/Xsx1bdSROy

In response to another fan, who told Carter he should vote because it’s important to exercise his rights, Carter held his ground, saying that he doesn’t want to vote anymore because of the number of death threats he’s received, in addition to the “attempts to humiliate” him.
I’m good thanks. Death threats and and over abundance of attempts to humiliate me is crazy. https://t.co/loEQ7XDV8k

The singer added that he finds it “quite contradicting” that people are “coming at” him for supporting Trump, alleging those people are “doing the exact thing to me that they hate.”
