As many of you know, riots broke out in Milwaukee last weekend, when police officers shot an armed black man who wouldn’t obey their commands.
It is a shame to Milwaukee and to our nation that we’ve gotten to this point, but there’s a shining light in Milwaukee named Sheriff David Clarke Jr. Recently, Donald Trump went to Wisconsin to speak, but decided to move the speech to the city to speak directly into the race issues.
That’s what I like — someone who’s not afraid to speak into complicated issues. While Trump was there, he sat down with Sheriff Clarke for a private meeting. Now, for the first time ever, Clarke is speaking out about what was said during that meeting.
From a Fox News interview, he reveals:
“I just wanted to give him an idea of what it’s like on ground level. That’s where I’m at. I’m in the trenches.
I’m at street level. I’m meeting and dealing with people who are looking for safer neighborhoods and safer schools on a daily basis. I know what their needs are, what their wants are.”
He also talked about how he would work with Trump on his campaign.
