BOY it’s complicated being a Clinton, these days!

On the one hand, Bill Clinton regularly travels to Dubai, speaks there for money, and gives them advice. And just last week was heard saying he was crazy about the place and the people, and he thinks they should give Joe Lockhart a job and simply play their cards smart on that port deal. On the other hand, his wife thinks they shouldn’t be able to buy control over the ports which up til now the UK has controlled. And he thinks that, too. Ultimately and ideally, he thinks that, too. Except who knows what either of them really think. Before the port deal both of them seemed to like UAE, and Dubai just fine.

All of which leads me to believe that if only Bill and Hillary were back in the White House, this deal would never have become the big issue it now is.

But right now, it’s just one more bat with which to try to beat down President Bush, so – you know – it’s complicated.

Tammy Bruce wonders about conflict of interest. Yes…that SHOULD be an issue, shouldn’t it. But, of course, where these two are concerned, it’s not.
