Gerald has a conversion story that comes at us directly from the funeral of John Paul the Great, via – of course – the Holy Spirit.
It’s not actually a conversion story. When a Christian turns Romeward we actually say he or she comes into “full communion.” That’s probably a good distinction to make. Conversion is a turning, but one is converted, turned, to Christ. The Christian is not “converting” then, but simply entering in.
But I am so grateful for our “converts,” though, because I learn so much from them.
