Obama as Evita!

I have been waiting for someone to put Obama to this music from Evita – I frankly thought it would have been done during his Now I Have Foreign Policy Experience World Tour (but perhaps the ‘rainbow tour’ number might have worked better?) but I’m happy to see it now, thanks to the PUMAS, who are not happy, and still not ‘coming around’ to Obama. It works beautifully. H/T

My only quibble – the use of the awful, uncomfortable-sounding Madonna, from the awful, uncomfortable film. Patti Lupone’s shrill devilry from the original broadway recording would have suited mmmwha, muy bien!

Speaking of PUMAS, has anyone else noticed that President & Sen. Clinton are incredibly, unnaturally quiet right now? This suggests two things to me – either they’ve been told by the Obama Democrat Party that if they’re not going to go out and campaign with some vigor for him they may as well stand down, or…they’ve got a little bomb to throw his way and they want to be as far away from the electoral carnage as possible. Either scenario entertains.
