A little down time…UPDATED

A little down time…UPDATED 2017-03-15T20:09:56+00:00

How are you, tired? Yeah, the Triduum, with the Vigil and then the houseful of company is kind of the Christian Olympics – tired here, too.

Will write later. Right now I am busy reading the 90 comments my piece at Pajamas Media elicited on Easter Sunday, of all days. In the article I merely suggested that adopting the political tactics of the left was perhaps not providing great spiritual fodder for Christians, but either I wrote it badly, the Christians took it badly, or they didn’t get it at all. I’m being called a “progressive in disguise” among other things, for the sin of suggesting that the Holy Spirit needs room to work, and that earthbound, worldly tactics may not always be what God wants from us.

I know, ain’t it awful!

Meanwhile – I couldn’t embed this, but do yourself a favor and go watch Susan Boyle sing on Britain’s Got Talent. She’s um…eccentric (in a cheeky, not negative way) and surprising. You’ll be glad you watched.

UPDATE: Deacon Greg has a story of a priest who died after celebrating mass on Holy Thursday. Don’t miss it. It’s a terrific story of Christian death – so much hope, so much uplifting in it, that you can hardly feel the pain for the joy. THAT is the way we should live and die!
