"Good" TV Becomes "Blessed" TV

"Good" TV Becomes "Blessed" TV June 28, 2009

It’s a step up! Next, I suppose, after two verifiable miracles, it can become “Saintly” TV.

Talking, of course, about New Evangelization Television, out of the Diocese of Brooklyn, which Old Scratch tried to stop but could not, and which “actually really is good TV”!

While helping out for a few episodes of In the Arena I got to see the new studios in various stages of construction, and now they are finally operating; the Monsignor Michael Dempsey Studio (and its extraordinary, beautiful little chapel, complete with the Blessed Sacrament enclosed) is celebrated and properly blessed and “baptized” with the holy water. You can watch the video here.

“Currents”, the nightly news broadcast managed by Deacon Greg seems like it’s gotten off to a healthy start, too!

Congrats to all the folks at NET, and particular kudos to General Manager Chris Quinn, who fought passionately to keep aside a bit of space for prayer and worship, declaring of the Chapel, “if we keep close to Christ, he will keep close to us.”

With all the like-minded people involved in this endeavor, I expect great things. Do check it out. There’s streamed and archived programing to feed every hungry heart.
