a silver lining perhaps…

… this week alone we’ve lost 7 residents who could no longer keep their homes due to unemployment. One gentleman whose been a resident for many years just confessed he hadn’t been to mass in 15 years but now that he is about to find himself homeless he’s been to daily mass for 3 weeks straight. He just smiled at me and said “I am just sorry I was so stubborn that it took this hardship for me to find my way back to Him.”

Many people find their faith sitting in the dark fox holes of their lives. Never underestimate the power of God… and continue to pray for all suffering through poverty and joblessness.
