… The local Housing Authority has issued all recipients of Section 8 Housing Vouchers the following addendums; there will be no more zero rental payments for residents on the voucher program. The minumum rental balance will now be $50.00 starting May 2009.

Yes. You read that right. No more free rent. No more $15 a month rent. If you are on government subsidies than your rent will be at least $50 a month.

I work in property management and some of your resident receive money from this program to pay their rent and as soon as their notices were delivered in the mail my phone began ringing off the hook. You would have thought the government told them they had to get a job, horror among horrors.

Yeah, good luck Obama with that mandatory volunteer program… you can’t even get people to work, let alone work with out pay.
