… I hate that phrase, by the way. It seems to imply that a good looking man is wasting his life by serving God as a priest. Truth be told, some of the most attractive [inside and out] and personable men I have ever met have been priests and seminarians. Men who could easily have any woman they want with a flash of the smile. Which makes the fact they chose to pursue the vocation of priesthood all the more amazing. You can’t help but be drawn to these men, as examples of perfect & prayerful manliness. These are the young men that our youth look up to emulate.
Gaenswain is the perfect example; he radiates with joy. Practically glows. That is why so many people love to look at him. Not just because he is easy on the eyes.
There is nothing wasteful at all about this man, or any attractive devout priest for that matter. So let’s put this phrase to rest, please. Thank you, that is all. You may now resume gazing upon Gorgeous Georg.
