Harry Potter and the Order of Preachers…

… think what you will of the series, but I still contend JK Rowlings’ writings are filled with Catholic imagery.

It’s pretty obvious that Benedictines would be in the Hufflepuff House, Dominicans would be Gryffindors, Jesuits would compromise of Ravenclaws, and the Carmelites would teach Divination. Naturally, Hagrid is a Franciscan. But where does that leave the house of Slytherin? The Archdiocese of L.A perhaps?
