mantillas, how to raise a stink…

… Terry is off raising hackles again. Hey, it gets him lots of comments and links. See, here I am driving traffic to his blog. How clever of him.

For the record, I don’t wear a mantilla either and I am not particularly fond of them myself. On other women, fine. However, on me it just becomes another fire hazard around the votive candles or choking risk. The few times I’ve worn one I was terribly self-conscious and uncomfortable. I will ask, though, if the purpose of wearing them is to cover your head, than why not where a scarf or hat that doesn’t let your hair show through?
