… we have holy days of obligation. Holy days can be used to explain away work tardiness, get you an extra hour off at lunch or a full day off from work. This, of course, only work s if you are employed by a protestant. Or a Catholic who doesn’t realize, for pastoral reason, that said holy day has been abrogated.
Personally, I would like to abrogate away every Monday.
