2011…

… I love New Year’s Eve, and not for the drunken revelries typically associated with the holiday. Every year at this time people think about resolutions, anticipating new and exciting things for the upcoming year. They look back with fondness over the happier memories and reflect, hopefully, on past errors promising to learn from them by not repeating unhealthy patterns.

The whole holiday is like one big examination of conscience followed by the excitement one feels after having received the sacrament of reconciliation. The new year is full of promise and we’re given a clean slate to start afresh.
