… I want to take this moment and firstly thank all my wonderful, patient friends who endured a barrage of technical questions like “what’s an intel” as I try and navigate the overwhelming sea of information out there.
My only access to the internet at this point in my work pc and I can’t use this during the working hours of the day. I can use it at night, like I’m doing right now, if I want to stay late after work but who really wants to hang around in an empty office. The heat automatically shuts off and I keep hearing weird noises coming from the conference room. Creepy.
My typical blogging schedule is after my son goes to bed or during those dark hours in the wee morning when I’m gripped with insomnia. Some of the best things I’ve ever written were at 3 am.
So you won’t being seeing too much of me while I work out the technical difficulties. If you feel so inclined, I’d be extremely grateful if you felt moved to make a small donation to go toward the purchase of another laptop. I don’t want anything pricey like a Mac, just a nice functional laptop that lets me do my writing on. Or if you know of any laptop that cost around $400 or less, will let me write/blog on, and work for entertainment purposes let me know. I’ve ruled out netbooks because I do need a disk drive to run my school CD’s and language programs. My son will also be sharing it for school work and they require powerpoint presentations. Other than that I am open to all your suggestions.
