ODD ODDS AND ENDS …
You can watch my mini-appearance on last weekend’s FoxNewsChannel in an interview with host Brian Williams HERE And yes, that is one of those throughly groovy World Vision Africa t-shirts hiding beneath my conservative(ish) suit jacket.
I found mine at the Lucy Barnes boutique on W. 14th in NYC. I haven’t been able to find this particular Africa t-shirt online yet, but you can probably purchase one through the Lucy Barnes store HERE I own several — long sleeve paper-thin American Apparel t’s and ribbed tanks (they come in black, white, light pink, kelly green, olive, etc.) Tasty and for a more than worthy cause.
Be on the lookout …
For a long Q&A, wherein I’m grilled by the multitalented Bill McGarvey (he sings, he writes, he theologizes and rides the PATH!), to be posted later this week at Busted Halo followed sometime soon thereafter by a podcast of our chat recorded earlier this month at a studio in (appropriately enough) Hell’s Kitchen;
For what is sure to be a cheeky and (hopefully) compelling interview with me in the Holy Grail of religious periodicals: THE WITTENBURG DOOR! Coming to a newsstand (more or less) near you in a month or so. (I’ve arrived. Truly. The day they called me I was sure that the theology of grace was real and that Jesus really does love me);
For my thoughts on (no laughing now, kids) evangelicalism in the wonderfully revolutionary Canadian Jesus mag, Geez …
Coming soon to a computer and an iPod near you …
A podcast interview between God Girl and the savvy journo Jay Kelly at the about-to-be-christened-and-launched Wired Parish;
And now for something completely different …
You can read a few of my braindroppings in a story released today by the National Catholic Reporter about how American bishops are handling the media with more savvy nowadays (or not.) You can find the story, written by Tom Carney, HERE. My two cents are about two-thirds of the way down.
