TODAY IN GOD . . .

On April 27, 1961, A Maryland state judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by the atheist activist Madalyn Murray (aka Madalyn Murray O’Hair) to ban required Bible readings and praying of the “Our Father” in public schools. The judge said Murray was trying to “drive every concept of religion out of the public school system.”
