PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE:
‘Just pray for a tough hide and a tender heart.’

Ruth Graham said the quote above, and it came to mind as I was remembering my friend Robert who is recovering from some terrible injuries sustained when a car hit him while he was riding his bicycle a couple of weeks ago near his home in Sydney, Australia.

Robert is one of those remarkable people who has the seemingly inherent ability to light up a room with his presence. A blithe spirit, truly. He’s like a sunflower with feet. And he’s tough — one of the healthiest people I know intellectually, emotionally, physically, spiritually.

But he’s banged up and he could use your spiritual company on his journey of healing.

So, if you’d remember Robert in these coming days and weeks, I’m sure he’ll be buoyed by the support — even from half way around the world.
