IN a lengthy ‘we wuz robbed’ sermon, pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California, claimed that he had a conversation with a White House aide who told him that Trump needed his prayers so he could cling onto the presidency.

At the end of the sermon, posted on YouTube, Hibbs fell to his knees and began blubbing like baby who’d just been parted from his pacifier by a predatory pelican.

As he begged God to save Trump’s presidency, he sobbed:

Father we praise you tonight, we humble you tonight. God you are pro-life and one man is and one man isn’t … One man is for Israel, one man is not. You are for Israel.

Lord one man is for our military and our police, the other is not.

Hibbs also prayed to God to “save” Joe Biden and his VP Kamala Harris.

Lord, I pray tonight for the salvation of Joe Biden, God that you touch his soul. All he knows his version of Catholicism. He doesn’t know you personally. Father, we pray for Kamala Harris. She’s had such a crazy exposure to spiritual things, but none the truth.

This report has more.

So, what do we know about Hibbs apart from the fact that he’s wired up like a faulty toaster? For starters he’s a homophobe. That should come as no surprise as it goes with the territory.

Back in 2015 NPR reported that Hibbs was among dozens of evangelical pastors around the country who have signed on to something called the American Renewal Project.

The idea is to train pastors to become politically active in the public arena to defend what they call biblical values. Some intend to run for office themselves. Others will stick to preaching. Jack Hibbs said he will no longer perform any marriages in his church rather than be pressured to marry same-sex couples.

Then he landed a part in the “movie” Trump 2024: The World After Trump. Others in the cast, according to this report, were drawn from a pantheon of US hate preachers, including Franklin Graham, Tony Perkins, the longtime leader of the anti-LGBTQ hate group, the Family Research Council, and Trump’s “spiritual adviser” Paula White who recently called on angels from Africa to save Trump’s presidency. Her sermon, by the way, has been given a musical twist, and is trending on YouTube.
