I admit it, while I think Justin Timberlake is extremely talented, I’ve harbored suspicion against him for that whole Janet Jackson Superbowl Halftime thing, as well as his recent #Occupy Hollywood movie “In Time.”
But, Justin, I would like to say that from the bottom of my little Red State heart, all is forgiven after your heartfelt tribute to the United States Marines you posted after following through on your promise to attend the Marine Corps Ball.
“My deepest gratitude to you. I’ve met so many of my heroes… From Michael Jordan to Michael Jackson. And, nothing makes me feel more honor and pride than when I get to meet one of you [Marines.] Last night changed my life and I will never forget it.”
Calling the Marines he met “classy,” “cool,” “unaffected,” and “real,” Timberlake said he was deeply moved by meeting the Marines and by their selfless volunteering to protect freedom.
This is what we’ve been trying to tell you, Hollywood-In-General, for years. Maybe we could arrange some sort of Hollywood-military cultural exchange program? After all, meeting our boys and girls in uniform only leads to respect.
