I began writing this column as I was sitting on an airplane, returning home from a women’s event called Bloom Again, in Kansas City. I attended with my daughter, Kaitlyn, who knew that with my fear of flying, I’d likely never go alone. You see, I am not an enthusiastic flyer, no matter the destination! I had no idea she would go, so I was truly surprised by her wonderful news! My heart was rejoicing at spending time with her, and excited about the opportunity to speak and share things about our identities as God’s daughters with other women!
God’s plan was in motion, and the fact that I was on an airplane at all, was divine proof of God’s hand at work in my life, and hers. For the entirety of the trip, I knew we were both exactly where God uniquely created us to be! And His Timing was perfect. The phrase “for such a time as this,” replayed in my mind, assuring me God was in our midst.
To my utter delight, the flight was smooth, and I found myself actually enjoying it. My view was simply stunning! I watched contentedly as the sun kept rising higher, little by little. Eventually it peaked above the wing of the plane, and the warmth of the sunlight upon my face felt soo good! Incredible white clouds floated slightly below me, extending outward toward the sun. They blanketed the sky, like carpet.
The sheer magnificence of God’s creation literally took my breath away! And to think, I had almost allowed fear to steal that perfect moment! Guiltily, I found myself thinking everyone should get the opportunity to see this view at least once in their lifetime!

A Call to Come Up Higher
In my mind’s eye, I was envisioning Jesus walking towards me on those gorgeous clouds, smiling, as the sun radiated all around Him. His arms were outstretched, and it was like an invitation, calling me to “come up a little higher with Him.”
I paused to reflect on that thought for a moment—and realized that Jesus is always inviting us:
- to come up higher
- to grow closer
- to become more passionate about Him
- to be more intentional about letting our “light” shine for Him
Ultimately, I believe we are all called, chosen and commissioned to pursue every opportunity we can to tell the world about Jesus! As I looked at the great expanse of earth beneath me, I thought about how many people there are to reach! It rekindled a fire inside! Every day should be a day to talk about Jesus and share Him with others!
The Bloom Again Story: A Testimony of God’s Handiwork
My thoughts turn to Bloom Again — a movement calling women to realize their worth, and identity, as daughters of God.
This event began as a plan to have a east coast launch for the authors of the best selling devotional: Before She Knew Jesus. Bloom Again emerged as a new theme or concept, and it took off from there! Several of the authors, like myself, eagerly jumped on board and right from the beginning we could feel God’s hand in the details as it all came together!

Friendships were forged, and seeds were planted.
Ideas for hosting more Bloom Again events, in different cities sprang to life!
Since its origin, we have been blessed to have more women join in, bringing additional talents and resources to the table! As a result, Bloom Again leaders and speakers are uniting from all across the United States! It’s simply amazing to see how God is connecting us through all this!
That Call to Go Higher With Jesus is Being Answered
I, for one, am humbled, honored, and grateful to be included in this movement! I can assure you that as authors, speakers, worship leaders, and coaches, we are all endeavoring to be the best version of ourselves possible as we heed the call I mentioned earlier—to “come up higher with Jesus!”
Each invitation points us back to our true identity in Christ, reminding us that as daughters of God, we’re called to rise above fear and live out our faith with confidence.
As individuals, we are seeking God’s will and purpose for our own lives, while praying that we use our giftings as He sees fit.
Helping Women Discover Their Identity as Daughters of God
We are on a mission to spread the “Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ” far and wide. We are also committed to helping other women connect more intimately with their identities as daughters of God.
Our purpose is to equip women with Biblical truth, while encouraging them to step into their own unique, personal callings. The following is a portion of our Bloom Again mission statement:
“Bloom Again exists to awaken and unify the daughters of God—women and girls, mothers and daughters—into their true identity, legacy, and purpose in Christ.
We are part of a rising Daughters Revolution, called to carry God’s seed, bear life, and speak truth in a generation that desperately needs His voice. Rooted in the spirit of Esther 4:14, we believe every daughter has been born for such a time as this! … For more Go to the new website coming soon at: https://bloomagaingathering.com/
Revival Is Blooming Again
To the glory of God, we are seeing women who are hungry for more—ready to take new steps to “go higher for Jesus.”
Many have shared about the fact that God is calling them back to dreams they had almost forgotten. And that alone is sparking excitement in all of us!
God is equipping His daughters, rising us up, breathing life into each hidden seed. Seeds planted are now being watered again at Bloom Again events, and it’s evidence that we are exactly where we are meant to be, for such a time as this!
And guess what? After the watering, comes the bloom!
I give God praise because I believe a new boldness is replacing fear! Together we will go forth boldly to declare truth and be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world around us.
A Day Crowned with His Presence
Many hands contributed to the preparations for Bloom Again Kansas City—including authors, décor teams, worship teams, leaders and speakers, food prep teams, a photographer, and so much more!
The worship team ushered in His presence beautifully. The speakers were intentional about messages of identity. Breakout sessions for guests, intentionally offered information about women in Scripture, that we can relate to in our modern-day struggles and victories.
I am proud to share this Mime Performance by my own daughter, Kaitlyn, at this event: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1HL7aMbdak/

Her song choice was “I Know a Name” By Elevation Worship, Chris Brown & Brandon Lake and it fit the day perfectly. Click the link to watch this video! Like and share it on Facebook and follow my page. (I am so incredibly proud of you Kaitlyn, and I always love watching you use your gifts and talents for Jesus! Thank you for attending this event with me! You gave me strength and courage to go!) Kaitlyn also helped me share something God has laid on my heart: “Yay, You!” Click to join me, and learn more on Instagram.

The day ended with a beautiful crowning ceremony, where the leaders placed crowns on each woman’s head, declaring her a Daughter of the King of Kings. It was a deeply moving moment that will likely become a Bloom Again tradition.
Unity Among the Daughters
There was such a sweet spirit of connection—young and old, mothers and daughters, friends and first-time acquaintances—all in one accord. Each came carrying her own burdens, titles, and struggles, but we left reminded that we are each unique and created by God’s own hand.
God reminded us that we are His daughters.
He allowed us to plant new seeds of faith, and water those pre-existing seeds, so that they could take root and grow!
Speaking Up For Such a Time as This
I actually took the mic to speak in a breakout session at this event. God paired me with the perfect partner, and though I was nervous about speaking, I knew I was exactly where God intended me to be. Honestly, once I stepped into place, the words flowed and a sense of courage overtook my fear.
As a result, my own takeaway from the Bloom Again events, has me sensing that God has more than “writing and publishing” in my future.
The Holy Spirit will guide my steps, and open my heart to accomplish more than I imagined in the beginning. I believe this is a perfect space for me to see Ephesians 3:20 at work in my life, without a doubt!
What once felt like only a dream “to write and publish” is now blooming into more. He’s possibly leading and preparing me for more speaking opportunities in the future. Only time will tell!
Hearts Willing to Surrender to His Will
I’m growing and changing as I go along, and I believe that is exactly what God expects of each of us! He’s looking for hearts that are willing to surrender to whatever He is calling them to do!
One beautiful aspect of the Bloom Again community is the connections God is divinely orchestrating. The comradery, and new found friendships, make us better! Proof that we are all: Called, Chosen, and Commissioned, and moving forward with surrendered hearts!
There’s power in a community like Bloom Again, and that’s why we are excitedly planning to take it to new cities! We hope you will join us!
** Next up is Bloom Again Virginia Beach ~ Coming in February 2026 **

Different giftings. Different visions. One mission.
We are all here “for such a time as this”—to fulfill God’s plan, spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and ignite the daughters of God to rise to their potential, their callings, and their purpose.
Ultimately, as I reflect on this journey, I see more clearly than ever how vital it is for Christian women to know who they are in Christ. When we live confidently as daughters of God, our faith becomes contagious — spreading hope, truth, and revival.
