For many centuries the Afro-Diasporan traditions of Hoodoo, New Orleans Voodoo, and Haitian Vodou were shrouded in secrecy. This was because of slavery, colonialism, and other forms of severe oppression. As a result many are confused about the differences between these systems. Each one is unique and wondrous in it’s power and resourcefulness. The infographic I created above deals with the basic differences between Haitian Vodou and Hoodoo.
