That was when he was one of only four senators to vote “no” on the defense spending bill that stripped us of habeas corpus, and made us subject to indefinite detention. The second time he impressed me was on January 22, 2012 when he refused to cooperate with TSA at the Nashville airport when he was trying to get back to D.C. for the March for Life.
