Young Packer fans decorate school … and Jesus

We’ve got a story coming soon about schools doing Packers- and football-related projects in the lead-up to the Super Bowl, but I couldn’t help posting a few photos today of the green and gold pride evident at St. Martin of Tours Parish School in Franklin.

I visited the school today, at 7933 S. 116th St., as part of their Catholic Schools Week celebration.

Students in the primary grades had covered the front hallway with all sorts of Packers pictures and yellow and green paper chains. Meanwhile, the school’s eighth graders had gone all out on their classroom by hanging players’ numbers from the ceiling and putting Packers “jerseys” on pictures of Jesus and Mary.

Personally I really like the use of duct tape. I don’t know if fits within the NFL’s uniform guidelines, but its a good call in case Troy Polamalu stops by the school and tries to sack Jesus. That way you know our Lord’s jersey isn’t coming off if He goes down.
