It’s the Parent’s Fault?

B.) Take your chances in court and hope you don’t lose the lawsuit

C.) Deny everything, even though the former youth pastor admitted his own guilt?

or     D.) Sue the parents of the victim, claiming it was their fault their child got raped because they negligently left their child in the care of the minister.

If you answered “D,”  then you would fit right in at the New Life Bible Church in Easton, MO.  Or you might be a judge… because he agreed with the church’s claim.

If you were looking for another reason to dislike lawyers, the church’s attorney had this to say:

“The parents are 100 percent responsible for their minor children,” the church’s attorney, Patrick McGrath, said on Wednesday. “If you cannot account for the conduct of your minor child, you are a deficient parent.”

According to The Missourian, the victim’s parents trusted the minister with their daughter while they traveled on church mission trips.
