The purpose for Daniel Bedingfield's life

The purpose for Daniel Bedingfield's life September 26, 2003

I know I know there have been rather a lot of DB posts lately. I just (being so out of touch ‘n all) heard of him like and anyone who reads this blog knows that I get like this- I have a latest craze. And right now DB’s albumn is that. To me he really is an artist and so much of what he writes in his songs and what he says in interviews rings true to my mindset.

Interesting that he often speaks of being spiritual but not religious. I love that line. In a recent intreview (this month) he is quoted as saying his purpose in life is “To seek after truth and the Being who created this universe and to be as other-centered as I can.”

I love it. If that isn’t packaging the age old gospel for a new generation I don’t know what is. He even dedicates his albumn to the creator, Yahweh and has a track on it that he wrote as a 15 year old which is a conversation between him and God. But he wears his spirituality lightly and its almost like a code between those who know these things and him, kind of like a secret. I mean who else but Christians call God YAHWEH?

Nice to live in a world where a talented man can get a break with great music and still have an intact faith.

If you are a believer in prayer, pray for Daniel Bedingfield that he is kept safe from all the dangers that his new life presents and that his religion-less spirituality provides him the strength he needs to keep touching the world’s soul with his music
